Winter days at our home...

Outside things feel sharper, stiffer. The road winding down the steep mountain side sometimes looks too good in it's shinny black gloss of ice and turns must be taken slowly....everything moving slowly after the hussle of holidays ho ho ho-ed by...

Gifts of grandparent's presence means more than presents.

And every few days California yields up just enough sun to barely feel like running and playing - just a tip of spring thoughts on your tongue and you gobble up that small morsel of fun at the park.

Most days are found tucked in cozy with good, old reads like our scriptures which never sound better than when read from the mouths of babes, babes who will soon be taking the reins of their own life over and you purse your lips tight and ring your hands and pray that they are following your lead...

And then you look down and see the very littlest one trying to keep up with big brothers, eyes blue and round and your struck at how your body produced such a jewel.

Christmas gifts well tested out, paint to paper, awwwwww....

And the Prophets tell us, as God once was so is man and we little Gods-in-embryo play at creation.

Dividing with remainders and using our fractions...

...but oh, the feeling of paint.

One afternoon mom gets the idea to use best-friend-now-past-through-the-veil's shirts to create a doll,

and the little ones rejoice.

Just in time for two little boys, and two little birthdays.

Happy 2013!
